TDCSki Academy bucks the trend with group ski lessons for teens – with a difference.
Do your Teens need a fresh approach to group ski lessons? We may have the answer; the TDCski Academy in our popular clinic format. Small groups of 3-6, keeps everyone involved, engaged and challenged. This isn’t standard ski school, it’s ideal for 14-17 year olds who can ski parallel on BLACK runs.
Our coaches encourage the teenagers to learn by discovering and doing. Decision making is an important skill for teens, we discuss tactics, fear and of course show the benefits of good technique to handle challenging snow and terrain, all the while improving their decision making.
The TDCSki Academy Program
An average TDCSki Academy week hits, piste performance, real carving, bumps, jumps, freestyle, variable snow, variable terrain, racing and more…
- Academy Clinics are open to 14-17 year olds, who can ideally ski parallel on BLACK runs.
- Small group sizes. Groups will only have 3 – 6 teenagers per group.
- 5 Half Days – normally run Mornings 9am – 12noon or Afternoons 1pm – 4pm.
- 3 Hour Sessions – make the most of the ski area.
- Academy; a·cad·e·my [uh-kad-uh-mee] – noun, a school for training teenagers how to shred the mountain.

“I have been skiing for 40 years, using instructors in many of the big resorts and they are hands down the best instructors I have used. I found them through friends and took my own family for an off piste week with one of their instructors. They know the resort like the back of their hand, are extremely safety conscious and find every “hidden gem” in the mountain. Not only that but they are very personable and good fun to spend the week with. They are a big reason we will go back to Val d’isère. If I could give them ten stars I would.”

“I was lucky enough to have.beginner off piste ski lessons with Steve Angus from TDC for a week mid Jan. It was fabulous. Somehow Steve found us fresh tracks every day and taught us with patience and understanding finding slopes that challenged us without being beyond our abilities.
Each night he shared photos and videos that really helped with the learning process. At the end of the week he created a video montage that’s really funny and I have greatly enjoyed sharing it with my family.

One of the best off-piste weeks I have had in years
“Despite no fresh snow for over two weeks, I have just completed one of the best off-piste weeks I have had in years. I skied with Terry on some of the most iconic routes around Val and Tignes and he was always able to find the good snow. In fact, most of it was the best chalky snow I think I have ever skied. Thank you for the tips and tuition where needed and for really enhancing a great week in the mountains. I think I might be back for some spring snow later in the season!”
