India Cairns

Ski Instructor

India started skiing when she was 2 1/2 years old and got her first instructing job at 18. After a brief break to get a degree in history and sociology, she worked her way through BASI to get ISTD qualified. India loves the variety of teaching any level and any age, but really enjoys getting more ladies hooked on the sport.

Like most TDC instructors skiing has taken her all over the world to Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Japan and France, but her bucket list is endless. She spends the summers in winter at The Remarkables, in New Zealand.

Personally she loves off piste skiing, keeping on top of her ropey freestyle skills, getting out on a board and occasionally competing in some freeride comps. Off snow she likes pretty much any activity as long as she’s not injured.

Rab Bickerdike

Ski & Snowboard Instructor

Rab has been skiing since he can remember and was brought up on the “character building” slopes of Scotland.

Since 1999 he’s been doing seasons in Pila, Chamonix, Les Gets, Verbier, Aosta, and now Tignes for it’s “good vibe and massive off piste possibilities”.

After many seasons of teaching and coaching experience under his belt, Rab still loves to pass on his love and knowledge of the sport, whilst respecting and enjoying the mountain as much and as often as possible.

Rab very honestly admits to his park and pipe background, and at any given chance will be upside down or back to front. He is just as happy on skis or a snowboard.

In the summers you’ll find him on the ropes or imparting more valuable knowledge on his mountain bike

Gavin Lewis

Ski Instructor

Gavin is one of the founding members of TDC Tignes who has worked and taught across the Alps since 2003.

Skiing since he was 4 yrs old Gavin is a strong all rounder who particularly likes bouncing through chopped up pow at high speed. Having passed every exam at the first attempt and now a BASI Trainer, his commitment to innovative skiing and the latest techniques ensures his coaching remains at the forefront of the industry.

Gregor Urquhart

Ski Instructor

Gregor started skiing in Scotland as a kid and has been obsessed by it ever since. His love of skiing and instructing has taken him to the States, Australia and all over Europe. As well as teaching skiing he has worked in many different aspects of the Snowsports industry, technical specialist for a ski magazine, ski tester and Head UK rep for several major brands including Dynastar and Lange to name few.

His clients say that his technical knowledge, patient nature and massive passion for the sport shine through in his lessons and that his relaxed and honest coaching style make for a fun learning environment.

When not teaching he can be found having fun skiing - off-piste, bumps, piste he enjoys it all although if pushed he’d say off piste is his passion and riding powder with your mates is hard to beat

In summer he can be found wearing flip flops whenever possible, eating barbecued food and partaking in the odd bit of surfing or skating.
